Chai Wu's Festive Menu

Harrods of Knightsbridge are world famous for what they offer; a destination venue that is synonymous with high quality, good living and the finest food.
Located on the fifth floor of Harrods, Chai Wu is very much part of that global success.

Chai Wu offer a blend of contemporary and traditional Chinese cuisine, served in a restaurant designed to incorporate all five elements that are crucial to the Chinese philosophy: wood, metal, water, earth and fire.

The team at Chai Wu have over thirty years of experience in catering for high-end events, from corporate heavyweights, charity fundraisers through to society weddings, their service offers a collection from Harrods, delivery to the venue or even a team of chefs at an event to create their perfect blend of Pan-Asian cuisine.

However, the Chai Wu restaurant is the sister restaurant to the already successful Mango Tree and Pan Chai concessions in Harrods food hall, they specialise in offering Pan-Asian cuisine with first class service.

Once seated, you get an excellent view of your meal being prepared and cooked by the team of skilled chefs, it’s quite mesmerising to watch your Chilean sea bass dumpling (with gold leaf) or Alaskan king crab with soy yuzu being prepared right in front of you, and something that most restaurants should do – the skill of the chef is on display for all to see, it’s their passion and attention to detail that you’re tasting.

Speaking of tasting … as a special treat, Chai Wu have created a Christmas menu that manages to bring together the full gamut of Chinese taste, culture and philosophy blended with an unmistakable slant toward the festive season.

Dishes include an avocado and lobster soup, black pepper turkey roll, scallops and foie gras in a red wine sauce, pan-fried Chilean sea bass with a spicy yellow bean sauce, shiitake mushrooms and baby pak choi in oyster sauce, egg white fried rice with dry scallops and mixed seafood and then finished with what can only be described as a sumptuous dark chocolate orange fondant. It really doesn’t get better than this.

Chai Wu have created a near unique dining experience in this part of South West London, and whether you’re looking to entertain clients, refuel after a long shopping expedition or have dinner with family and friends, they can quite literally cater for your every need; breakfast, lunch or dinner.
