Moroccan Charm at La Mamounia

As one of the most celebrated hotels in the world, La Mamounia needs no introduction, the iconic Morrocan haven originally opened its doors in 1923 and has since remained at the forefront of luxury attracting the world’s elite.
Situated in the heart of the vibrant Marrakech, La Mamounia is just moments away from the famed Jemma el-Fnaa square and historical Koutoubia Mosque and is surrounded by a stunning 17-acre garden.
Having undergone a major revamp under the lead of world-renowned Jacques Garcia, the hotel reopened in September 2009 oozing with palatial design and sheer opulence. La Mamounia has 135 decadently designed rooms and 71 suites, six of which are Signature suites all bringing together an authentic mix of Moroccan flair and aesthetics.
Offering some of the finest culinary delights in the city, La Mamounia is home to four different restaurants feeling one left rather spoilt choice, featuring French, Mediterranean, Italian and Moroccan fine dining, each restaurant evokes the elegance of this fabulous hotel and has its own bar.
Perhaps for me, one of the best highlights of this majestic property is its outdoor pool, a hedonistic dream, I could spend hours soaking up the sun and people watching in the well-sized pool which is a centrepiece of the hotel.

Alongside the pool, the hotel also boasts an extensive state-of-the-art spa featuring 20 treatment rooms, a fitness studio, hammam and an indoor pool.
Round the perfect stay off with a spot of shopping at La Mamounia’s designer boutiques, including Dior and the recently opened Saint Laurent and you’ll soon see why the hotel is such a loved piece of Marrakech’s history and charm.
